Dear Mr. Warden:

Enclosed is an application (XCOM1344), dated January 18, 2022, received by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) from Curtiss-Wright Flow Control Corp. This application requests the export of reactor components and equipment, replacement, and spare parts, including, but not limited to, nozzle check valves as described in paragraphs (5) through (11) of Appendix A to Title 10 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 110 to China for installation at the Haiyang Nuclear Power Plant, Units 1 and 2.

Before taking action on this request, we would appreciate your views, in accordance with established procedures and from the overall perspective of the Executive Branch, as to whether the requested export meets the applicable criteria in the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended.

Please note that the dollar amount on page one of the NRC Form 7 is proprietary information.

The NRC will not include this information in the public record and requests that the Executive Branch agencies protect it as well.
