- Description of the document: This is an annual proposed rule that would amend the NRCs current fiscal year (FY) lic ensing, inspection, special p roject, and annual fees charged to its applicants and licensees. These proposed amendm ents are necessary to implement the Nuclear Energy Innovation and Modernization Act, which requires the NRC to recover, to the maximum extent practicable, approximatel y 100 percent of its total budget authority for the fiscal year, less the budget aut hority for excluded activities, through fees. Additionally, similar to FY 2021, this FY 2022 p roposed rule would not assess fees for import or export licensing activities.
- Dates: The public comment period will close 30 days after pub lication.
