VENDOR INSPECTION OF CURTISS-WRIGHT, STEAM & AIR SOLUTIONS
Dear Mr. Sablostsky:
This letter documents the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staffs plan to perform an inspection of Curtiss-Wright, Steam & Air Solutions (CW SAS) to review implementation of your quality assurance (QA) program in accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) Part 50, Appendix B and 10 CFR Part 21. Specifically, the QA program and Part 21 implementation, will be reviewed as they pertain to CW SAS design, manufacturing, and refurbishment of safety related terry turbine pumps. As discussed through a conference call on Thursday, January 6, 2022, the inspectors plan to arrive at the Summerville, South Carolina facility, on Monday afternoon, March 14, 2022, and will conduct the inspection through Friday, March 18, 2022. Subsequent to the inspection, a report will be issued and transmitted to you via letter.
