[External_Sender] Comments for Docket ID: NRC-2020-0277-0194 To whom it may concern I am writing to address the Point Beach Nuclear Plant extension.

I suggest that these may be elements of the Environmental Impact Statement:

1. How much additional nuclear waste will be generated and where will this waste be stored?
2. The Point Beach Nuclear plant removes cold water from Lake Michigan and returns warm water to the lake. The impacts of this warm water should be investigated particularly in the light of climate change which is already warming Lake Michigan waters.
3. How will climate change affect Lake Michigan and the Point Beach plant? How much lake water increase is expected?
4. How would a nuclear accident affect Lake Michigan water and the people living in the vicinity of the plant? What emergency public health plans are there?
5. The Point Beach Nuclear plant uses older technology that may be less safe than newer technologies.

Would it be possible to examine more up-to-date nuclear technology such as Terrapower (Terrapower.com) to see if this technology may be appropriate?

6. Instead of extending the Point Beach Nuclear Plant as a nuclear power plant, would it be possible to consider solar or wind power? This might be safer, cleaner, and less expensive than an extension of the nuclear plant.

Thank you for concidering the issues raised above. I vote to not extend the life of the nuclear power plant until all of these issues are addressed Jen Voichick 145 Ohio Ave Madison, WI 53704
