Thank you for the subject Groundwater Flow Model Review. DEQ is satisfied with the report. KEVIN STITT Governor To recap, the model update was to simulate the effect of extraction wells screened only opposite groundwater containing Uranium at levels higher than the dtinking water standard (MCL).

For the Western Alluvial Area (W AA) the 2020 model split the alluvium, which the 2016 model counted as one layer, into two layers of equal thickness. To simulate the fining-upward sequence observed in the alluvium, the 2020 model allocated 7 5% of the transmissivity to the lower half of the alluvium and 25% in the upper half.

For Burial Area I (BA l) the 2016 model split the alluvium into 8 !aye rs. The 2020 model evenly allocated 75% of the total transmissivity to the bottom four of those layers, and 25% to the upper four.
