SUMMARY
OF NOVEMBER 17, 2021, PRE-SUBMITTAL MEETING WITH GENERAL ELECTRIC-HITACHI NUCLEAR ENERGY AMERICAS, LLC. AND THE U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION TO DISCUSS NEDO-11209, QUALITY ASSURANCE PROGRAM DESCRIPTION (QAPD), REVISION 17 On November 17, 2021, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff held an observation virtual public meeting with representatives from General Electric-Hitachi Nuclear Energy Americas, LLC (GEH). The purpose of the meeting was for GEH to present a summary of the proposed changes to the GEH Topical Report NEDO-11209-A, Revision 16, GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy Quality Assurance Program Description (QAPD), and review schedule. The agenda and all information related to the meeting and discussed in this summary can be found in the Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Package Accession No. ML21356A787. By letter dated December 14, 2021, GEH submitted final slides (ADAMS No. ML21348A339).
The GEH representative presented information regarding the proposed changes, the desired schedule of review, and issuance processes of the QAPD, Revision 17. Regarding the review schedule, the NRC staff explained that the schedule will be determined after the submittal of QAPD, Revision 17, and communicated to GEH. There were no questions from the members of the public. A list of the meeting attendees is enclosed.
