STAFF REQUIREMENTS - BRIEFING ON EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY, AFFIRMATIVE EMPLOYMENT, AND SMALL BUSINESS, 10:00 A.M.,
TUESDAY, DECEMBER 7, 2021, COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM, ONE WHITE FLINT NORTH, ROCKVILLE, MARYLAND (OPEN TO PUBLIC ATTENDANCE)
The Commission was briefed by the NRC staff on the agency's Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Affirmative Employment, and Small Business Programs. Topics presented included an overview on EEO, diversity and inclusion, and small business programs, including updates on Regional and the Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards initiatives in these areas; presentations on diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility and bringing your whole self to work; a joint statement of the EEO advisory committees; and an update on human capital. The Commission was also addressed by the President of the National Treasury Employees Union Chapter 208.
The staff should provide the Commission a vote paper within 3 months about how and when the minority serving institution grant program might be reconstituted.
