Request for Scoping Comments The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is conducting a review of the environmental effects of renewing the operating licenses for St. Lucie Plant, Unit Nos. 1 and 2 (St. Lucie). In accordance with 36 CFR 800.8(c), the NRC intends to comply with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 through the National Environment Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA) process. The purpose of the attached letter is to initiate Section 106 consultation with your Tribe. The NRCs notice of intent to conduct
scoping in regards to the St. Lucie application has been published in the Federal Register: 86 FR 58701.
