Comment - Gathering - This is a meeting in which the NRC will seek feedback on actions taken by the staff for the oversight of Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) Configuration Control Programs. Attendees will have an opportunity to provide opinions, perspectives and feedback. Sufficient time will be provided to allow members of the public to ask questions and have them answered.
Purpose:
To discuss the current framework under development by the NRC staff to address a gap in the Reactor Oversight Process (ROP) regarding inspection of PRA Configuration Controls of risk-informed programs (e.g., Risk-Informed Completion Times (RICT),
Surveillance Frequency Control Program (SFCP), NFPA 805, 10 CFR 50.69). The framework includes a conceptual tier approach for future oversight of risk-informed programs, a conceptual PRA Configuration Control Inspection and an Information Gathering and Guidance Development effort to be discussed with industry stakeholders.
