DRESDEN NUCLEAR POWER STATION, UNITS 2 AND 3 - EXEMPTION FROM THE REQUIREMENTS RELATED TO SUBMISSION OF SUBSEQUENT LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION (EPID L-2021-LLE-0048)

Dear Mr. Rhoades:

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has approved the enclosed exemption from specific requirements of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section 2.109(b), for Dresden Nuclear Power Station, Units 2 and 3 (Dresden). This action is in response to your application dated October 28, 2021, that requested Exelon Generation Company, LLC be permitted to submit subsequent license renewal applications for Dresden, Units 2 and 3, no later than three years prior to the expiration of each units renewed facility operating license, which is currently December 22, 2029 for Unit 2 and January 12, 2031 for Unit 3 (Agencywide Document Access Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML21301A167). On February 1, 2022 Exelon Generation Company, LLC was renamed Constellation Energy Generation, LLC.

A copy of the exemption is enclosed. The exemption has been forwarded to the Office of the Federal Register for publication.
