FISCAL YEAR 2021 RESEARCH AND TEST REACTORS INSPECTION PROGRAM COMPLETION STATUS The purpose of this memorandum is to report the fiscal year (FY) 2021 completion status of the baseline inspection program for research and test reactors. In FY 2021, all baseline inspections were completed within the periodicity specified in Inspection Manual Chapter 2545, Research and Test Reactor Inspection Program, except as noted below:
- 1. Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Due to restrictions on facility access due to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, portions of the reactor safety inspection program for MIT that were due to be completed by February 2021, were not completed until August 2021.
- 2. Rhode Island Nuclear Science Center (RINSC). Due to restrictions on facility access due to the COVID-19 pandemic, portions of the reactor safety inspection program for RINSC that were due to be completed by February 2021, were not be completed until September 2021.
- 3. University of California, Davis (UC Davis). Due to scheduling disruptions associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, portions of the reactor safety inspection program for UC Davis that were due to be completed by May 2021, are currently scheduled for October 2021.
