SEQUOYAH NUCLEAR PLANT, UNIT 2 - WITHDRAWAL OF REQUESTED ALTERNATIVE INSPECTION FOR UPPER HEAD INJECTION J-GROOVE WELDS (EPID L-2021-LLR-0059)
Dear Mr. Barstow:
By letter dated September 3, 2021 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML21246A169), the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) submitted Request for Alternative (RFA) 21-ISI-2 for the use of an alternative to the American Society of Mechanical Engineers Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (ASME Code),Section XI, Code Case N-729-6 for the Sequoyah Nuclear Plant, Unit 2, for the inspection of upper head injection (UHI)
J-groove welds.
By letter dated October 14, 2021 (ADAMS Accession No. ML21287A197), TVA requested to withdraw RFA 21-ISI-2. The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff acknowledges TVAs request to withdraw RFA 21-ISI-2. The NRC staffs review of RFA 21-ISI-2 has ceased and the corresponding Enterprise Project Identifier (EPID) L-2021-LLR-0059 will be closed.
