- NRC Chairman Christopher Hanson visited the Beaver Valley NPP and met with Energy Harbor managers. He looked at FLEX equipment, including portable pumps and generators for use in helping maintain long-term #reactor core and spent fuel cooling in the event of an emergency.

- OTD in 1959, the NS Savannah - the worlds first nuclear-powered merchant ship - launched.
Last week, NRC Chairman Christopher Hanson and some NRC staff visited the ship, which is docked in Baltimore and currently undergoing #decommissioning.
