This is an Information Meeting with a Question and Answer Session. The purpose of this meeting is for the NRC staff to meet directly with individuals to discuss regulatory and technical issues. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions of the NRC staff or make comments about the issues discussed throughout the meeting; however, the NRC is not actively soliciting comments towards regulatory decisions at this meeting.

Purpose:

The purpose of this meeting is for external panel members with experience and expertise in Environmental Justice to present their views on how the NRC has addressed Environmental Justice in its programs, policies, and activities, and discuss what the agency might do differently in the future. The information gathered during this transcribed meeting will be used by NRC staff to develop recommendations to the Commission, consistent with the Commission's Staff Requirements Memorandum (ADAMS Accession No. ML21113A070).

The public and other stakeholders are encouraged to ask questions of, and make comments to, the panelists. NRC staff will also answer process-related questions after everyone has had a chance to provide comments during the meeting, time permitting.

Comments on the this effort can also be provided after the meeting via email to NRC-EJReview@nrc.gov or via voicemail (800-882-4672). A transcript of the meeting will be available shortly after the meeting and the transcript will be referenced in the summary.
