Dear Ms. Atack:

The purpose of this letter is to provide American Centrifuge Operating, LLC's (ACO) responses to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission's (NRC) requests for clarification. Additional information is provided as Enclosure 1. Enclosure 2 provides the supplemental proposed changes to security plan SP-3605-0043, American Centrifuge Operating, LLC Classified Distributed Control System (DCS) Information System Security Plan (ISSP). Supplemental proposed changes are noted in green highlights.

On July 16, 2021, staff from the NRC and ACO held a conference call to discuss clarifications needed in relation to ACO's DCS ISSP submittals dated April 1, 2021 (Reference 1) and June 22, 2021 (Reference 2).

Enclosures 1 and 2 contain Security-Related Information and, in accordance with the guidance provided by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), contain Official Use Only information.

Therefore, ACO requests these enclosures be withheld from public disclosure pursuant to 10 CFR 2.390(d)(l ). Additionally, Enclosures 1 and 2 have been determined, in accordance with the guidance provided by the DOE, to contain Export Controlled Information and must be protected from disclosure per the requirements of 10 CFR Part 810.
