Workshop #1 Introduction to AI June 29, 2021 Workshop #2 Current Topics August 18, 2021 DATA SCIENCE AND 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. ET ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE REGULATORY APPLICATIONS WORKSHOPS Workshop #3 Virtual - Microsoft Teams Meeting Future Focused Initiatives Website Sept/Oct 2021 NRCAIWorkshop@nrc.gov Three public workshops are planned to provide a forum for the U.S. NRC, nuclear industry and stakeholders to discuss the state of knowledge and research activities related to data science and artificial intelligence and their application in the nuclear industry. The workshops seek to:
- Establish consistent AI terminology and understand the availability and development of both NRC and industry datasets
- Explore and leverage collaborative activities with other U.S. government agencies, national laboratories, and industry organizations
- Engage with industry and public stakeholders on areas where NRC could enhance information sharing, data access, or AI development that could improve agency efficiency and effectiveness
- Identify and develop future use cases and collaborations where early intervention can provide high-yield resource investment
- Share industry and NRC lessons learned from ongoing data science and AI-related projects
