Pre-Submittal Meeting between U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and Southern Nuclear Operating Company (SNC) related to a Proposed License Amendment Request (LAR) for Vogtle Electric Generating Plant (Vogtle), Units 1 and 2 Date(s) and Time(s): August 13, 2021, 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM ET Location: Teleconference Category: This is an Observation Meeting. This is a meeting in which attendees will have an opportunity to observe the NRC performing its regulatory function or discussing regulatory issues. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions of the NRC staff or make comments about the issues discussed following the business portion of the meeting; however, the NRC is not actively soliciting comments towards regulatory decisions at this meeting.

Purpose:

The purpose of the pre-submittal meeting is to hear SNC's plan to submit a proposed LAR for Vogtle, Units 1 and 2, related to the allowable values based on updated instrument uncertainty calculations for the Reactor Trip System and Engineered Safety Features Actuation System trip functions in Technical Specification (TS) 3.3.1 and TS 3.3.2, respectively.
