U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION Page 2 of A clarification call was held on July 14, 2021, with TN staff. NRC staff requested that TN walk through the response provided to RSI 4-1 regarding the ANSYS error and error report to better understand how it relates to the RSI. Staff also requested that TN clarify the response to Observation 4-6.
TN explained the process regarding the corrective actions for errors generated in the computer files, will contact the ANSYS developer and will provide the results using the suggested correction compared to a later version of ANSYS. Depending on when/if TN provides this information to the NRC, this may result in staff generating an RAI. TN also agreed to provide a corrected response to Observation 4-6.
