Westinghouse Electric/Columbia Plant Technetium-99 Source Investigation dated July 30, 2020 Richland County Consent Agreement CA-19-02-HW File # 51377
Dear Ms. Logsdon:
The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (Department) has reviewed and approves the Technetium-99 (Tc-99) source investigation report. The Department concurs with Westinghouse that the sampling data supports that current operating process does not have the potential to introduce significant quantities of Tc-99 into the groundwater. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or comments at (803) 898-0722 or kuhnkm@dhec.sc.gov.
Sincerely, Kimberly M. Kuhn, Project Manager State Voluntary Cleanup Section Division of Site Assessment, Remediation and Revitalization Bureau of Land and Waste Management Cc:
