Westinghouse hasprepared thefollowing general workplan tocomplete therisk-based ofintermodal investigation storage within the Southern Storage Area(SSA) Operable Unit(OU).The SSA OU isdescribed inthe AECOM Remedial Investigation WorkPlan that Westinghouse submitted totheDepartmenton April 26,2019,under theConsent Agreement signed onFebruary 26,2019.

WORKPLAN: Sampling Underneath Intermodal Container Footprint Following removal ofanintermodal container,Westinghouse will complete directradiological ofthe surveys dry underneath.

soil Contaminated soilwill beremoved in accordance with the procedure remediation site anddisposed atanauthorized disposal facility.

soil Systematic sampling becompleted will inthe footprint ofthe 40' x8'space formerly bythecontainer.

occupied Asneeded, bias sampling will beperformed based on the as-found condition ofthematerial emptied from thecontainer anddirect-read radiological surveys. Soil sampling andanalysiswill beperformed asdescribed intheworkplan andassessment submitted report totheDepartment perLTR-RAC-19-45, dated June18,2019, andLTR-RAC-19-65,dated August8,2019.
