Westinghouse hasprepared thefollowing general workplantocomplete therisk-based investigation ofintermodal storage within the Southern Storage Area(SSA)

Operable Unit(OU).

TheSSAOUisdescribed intheAECOM Remedial Investigation WorkPlan that Westinghouse submitted totheDepartmenton April 26,2019,undertheConsent Agreement signed onFebruary 26,2019.

WORKPLAN:Sampling Underneath Intermodal Container Footprint Following removal ofanintermodal container, Westinghouse will complete directradiological surveys ofthedrysoil underneath.

Contaminated soil will beremoved in accordance with the site remediation procedure anddisposed atanauthorized disposal facility.

Systematic soil sampling will becompleted inthefootprint ofthe40'x8'space formerly occupied bythecontainer.

Asneeded, bias sampling will beperformed based on the as-found condition ofthematerial emptied fromthecontainer anddirect-read radiological surveys.

Soil sampling andanalysis will beperformed asdescribed intheworkplanandassessment report submitted totheDepartment perLTR-RAC-19-45, dated June18,2019,andLTR-RAC-19-65, dated August 8,2019.

Westinghouse will continue tokeeptheDepartment informed ofits progress toemptyand remove these containers through weekly phonecalls andmonthly reports.

Uponremoval ofall intermodal containers containing radioactive

material, afinal assessment report will beprovided totheDepartment.
