Dear Ms. Atack:
The purpose of this letter is to provide American Centrifuge Operating, LLC's (ACO) responses to '
the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission's (NRC) request for additional information as Enclosure 1. provides the proposed changes to security plan SP-3605-0044 to support operation of ACO's Classified Process Telephone System in Piketon, Ohio. Proposed changes are noted in tracked changes and a revision bar in the right-hand margin.
On April 12, 2021 (Reference 1), ACO submitted the newly developed plan to support the High Assay Low Enriched Uranium Demonstration Program. NRC completed their review of the initial plan and on May 18, 2021 (Reference 2), NRC provided a copy of the requests for additional information to ACO for response development.
Enclosures 1 and 2 contain Security-Related Information and, in accordance with the guidance provided by the DOE, contain Official Use Only information. Therefore, ACO requests these enclosures be withheld from public disclosure pursuant to 10 CFR 2.390(d)(l). Additionally, Enclosures 1 and 2 have been determined, in accordance with the guidance provided by the DOE, to contain Export Controlled Information and must be protected from disclosure per the requirements of 10 CFR Part 810.
