By letter dated November 16, 2020 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Package Accession No.ML20329A292), NextEra Energy Point Beach, LLC (NextEra) submitted an application for subsequent renewal of Renewed Facility Operating License Nos.DPR-24 and DPR-27 for Point Beach Nuclear Plant, Units1and2 (Point Beach), respectively, to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).
The NRC staff in the Vessels and Internals Branch (NVIB) in the Division of New and Renewed Licenses (DNRL), the Structural, Civil, Geotech Engineering Branch (ESEB) in the Division of Engineering and External Hazards (DEX), and the Nuclear Methods and Fuel Analysis Branch (SFNB) and the Nuclear Systems Performance Branch (SNSB) in the Division of Safety Systems (DSS), is in the process of reviewing your application. Based on our review, the NRC staff has identified the attached requests for additional information (RAIs) and requests for confirmation of information (RCIs).
The RAIs and RCIs were discussed with Bill Maher, Steve Franzone, and others of your staff during the June 3, 2021, NRC public meeting.
