Request for an Extension of Comment Period on Draft Regulatory Guide, DG-1381, Control of Heavy Loads at Nuclear Facilities, Docket ID NRC-2021-0096 Submitted via Regulations.gov Project Number: 689
Dear Program Management,
Announcements and Editing Staff:
On behalf of our members, the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI)1 appreciates the opportunity to review and provide comments on Draft Regulatory Guide, DG-1381, Control of Heavy Loads at Nuclear Facilities.
In a Federal Register Notice (86 FR 23750) dated May 4, 2021, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission requested that stakeholder comments be submitted by June 3, 2021. NEI requests an extension of the comment period of thirty (30) days to July 3, 2021. This extension is necessary to permit adequate stakeholder engagement on this important topic and will allow members currently engaged in spring refueling outages an opportunity to review and comment.
If you have questions or require additional information, please contact me at (202) 739-8137, txr@nei.org.
Sincerely, Timothy Riti c:
