~mergency Plan and Alert and Notification System (ANS) Design Report Arkansas Nuclear One, Units 1 and 2 NRC Docket Nos. 50-313, 50-368, and 72-13 Renewed Facility Operating License Nos. DPR-51 and NPF-6 In accordance with 1 0 CFR 50.4(b)(5), 1 0 CFR 50.54(q)(5), 10 CFR 72.4, and 1 0 CFR 72.44(f),
the Arkansas Nuclear One (ANO) ANS Design Report which is considered part of the ANO Emergency Plan has been revised and is included in the Enclosure to this letter. The ANS Design Report was revised to include an updated siren coverage map using a detailed acoustical model and field testing of siren sound levels and was effective on January 1, 2021. It was also updated to include new guidance on report format and report content in the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Radiological Emergency Planning Program Manual, dated December 2019. In addition, no changes were made to the ANS Design Report except those reviewed and approved by FEMA.
In accordance with 1 0 CFR 50.54(q), a screening of the changes to the ANS Desig.n Report was performed. The screening concluded that the changes do not reduce the effectiveness of the ANO Emergency Plan, and the Emergency Plan continues to meet the standards of 1 0 CFR 50.47(b) and 10 CFR 50, Appendix E.
