TheCommission recognizes GAO'sconcernsregarding theopen recommendations andappreciates GAO'srecognition that theNRC has closedonepriority recommendation since last yearandismaking progress onother recommendations.

TheNRCalsoappreciates GAO'sefforts toidentify opportunities toimprove agency operations.
