Subject:

RFI for In-Office Inspection of Recent WF3 Submission of EAL Procedure Revision Date: Wednesday, April 14, 2021 12:01:12 PM Mr. Overly/Mr. Bradley:

The purpose of this e-mail is to transmit a request for information (RFI) in support of an in-office inspection of recent changes to Waterfords Emergency Plan implementing procedure related to EALs (EP-001-001, Rev 34) which was submitted to the NRC in mid-March 2021 (ADAMS Accession No. ML21070A403). The details of the requested information were generally discussed with Mr. J.

Overly, WF3 EP Manager, in a phone conversation on April 12, 2021.

Specifically, while the 10 CFR 50.54(q) screening and evaluation associated with the procedure revision and the full revision 34 of EP-001-001 were included in the submission, there were three (3) corrective action documents and one (1) calculation referenced in the 50.54(q) evaluation which were determined to be necessary for review to complete this inspection. As such, please provide:

1. Full copies of the following Corrective Action Program Documents, including all associated evaluations, corrective actions, and attachments:
a. CR-WF3-2019-01975
b. CR-WF3-2020-06312
c. WT-WTWF3-2018-00166, CA-00043
2. Full copy of Engineering Report/Calculation EC-88621 (Note, if the requested EC is included as an attachment to any of the CRs requested in Item 1, a duplicate copy of the EC is NOT required.)

The in-office review is being conducted using IP 71114.04 and it is my intention to complete this review by the end of the 2nd Quarter for documentation in this quarters report. In support of this desired timeline and balancing other inspection activities, I request that the materials described above be provided by April 28, 2021, via the electronic portal of the stations choosing. If you have any questions/concerns regarding this request or challenges in meeting the requested timeline, please contact me using the contact information below.

This request does not contain new or amended information collection requirements subject to the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (44 U.S.C. 3501 et seq.). Existing information collection requirements were approved by the Office of Management and Budget under control number 3150-0011. The NRC may not conduct or sponsor, and a person is not required to respond to, a request for information or an information collection requirement unless the requesting document displays a currently valid Office of Management and Budget control number.
