Appendices H and N to the Decommissioning Plan Attachments: App H - Exemption from U-235 Limit.pdf App N - Criticality and Uranium Loading Calcs.pdf Paul Davis had noted that two of the appendices contained a flysheet and headers and footers that indicated that the appendix was a different one than it was assigned in the Table of Contents (and referred to in the text of the decommissioning plan). I had explained that we didnt change the content of the appendix, leaving it exactly as it was in the 2018 decommissioning plan.

However, theres no reason not to change the headers and footers to eliminate any potential confusion. So I got the original Word files from Enercon, and removed the flysheet and the headers, and changed the footers. The content of the appendices is still the same.

To keep the file size small, I am sending you .pdf versions of Appendices H and N that dont comply with the preflight requirement for uploading to ADAMS. Please replace the copies that you downloaded from the Accellion file sharing site with these. The attached will be the same as the files that will be uploaded to the NRC Document Control Center for uploading to ADAMS. Jill Zaitz (BMcD St. Louis office) has converted nearly all of these files to comply with those requirements, and she will hopefully be uploading them all today.

Just for your information, when we convert these files to comply with the NRCs preflight requirements, they cannot be compressed, contain embedded fonts, etc. So the file size grows significantly. For instance, when we saved Appendix B (SWP3 and General Permit) as an Adobe file, it generated a 64.6 MB file. But by the time Jill decompressed, removed embedded fonts, transparencies, etc., it contained slightly over 310 MB. The maximum file size you can electronically upload is 100 MB, so Jill will submit that one appendix in four pieces. Shell wind up submitting something close to 40 files to the Document Control Center. Although each file will have a unique accession number, the entire batch of files that make up the decommissioning plan will be assigned a package accession number, which should enable you to view any/all of the files. Arent you glad you already have them in a non-ADAMS format?
