Thepurpose ofthis amendment request for the SNM-362 license is toseek authorization to relocate the Hopewell Designs G150irradiator owned byNIST fromthe B-wing ofbuilding 245 tothe H-wing ofbuilding 245where the unit willbeinstalled and toperform acceptance testing toconsider the converted teletherapy head irradiatorfacility commissioned. Allconstruction activities arecomplete, andthe facility has functional safety andsecurity systems.
NISTfollowed theguidance inNUREG1556 Volume 6;,
Rev. 1"Program-Specific Guidance About 10CFRPart 36Irradiator Licenses" toprepare th.eamendment request. Specifically, by following Appendix C "Suggested Format for Providing Information Requestedin Items 5 Through 11ofU.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Form 313", Inthe attached document NIST provides detaileddescriptionfor Items 5through. 11TheNISTIonizing Radiation Safety Committee hasreviewed this request for completeness andaccuracy.
