The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is publishing the following document in the Federal Register:

List of Approved Spent Fuel Storage Casks: NAC International NAC-UMS Universal Storage System, Certificate of Compliance No. 1015, Amendment No. 8.
Description of the rule: This rule amends the NRCs spent fuel regulations to add the storage of damaged boiling-water reactor spent fuel, including higher enrichment and higher burnup spent fuel, and to make other changes to the NAC International NAC-UMS Universal Storage System, which is on the list of NRC-approved cask designs.
Dates: The direct final rule will become effective 75 days after publication unless the NRC receives a significant adverse public comment.
