Planned Replacement of the Entity Contracted by the Department of Energy, Idaho Operations Office to Perform the Management and Operation of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Licensed Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installations (License Numbers SNM-2504, SNM-2508, SNM-2512) (CLN210271)
Dear Sir or Mad.run:
Pursuant to the Department of Energy's U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Licenses SNM-2504, SNM-2508, and SNM-2512 License Condition 14; For the duration of the license, the licensee shall inform the Director, Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards, at least 90 days in advance, of the planned replacement of the entity contraQted by the Department of Energy, Idaho Operations Office to perform the Management and Operation of the various Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installations."
On May 27, 2020, the Department of Energy issued a final Request for Proposal, soliciting proposals from industry to manage and operate the subject licenses. The anticipated award date for the new contractor is third quarter of FY202 l.
