The Commission was briefed by an external panel and a staff panel on the NRCs regulatory programs for dry cask storage and transportation of spent nuclear fuel and perspectives on associated research topics. The external panel included Wayne Norton, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Yankee Atomic Electric Company; Randy Stark, Director of Fuels, High Level Waste and Chemistry, Electric Power Research Institute; Roger Maggi, Chief Commercial Officer, Orano TN; Dr. Kris Singh, President and CEO, Holtec International; Donna Gilmore, Founder, SanOnofreSafety.org; and Dr. David Victor, Chairman, Community Engagement Panel.
There were no requirements identified for staff action.
