Apreliminaryreviewschedulewasdiscussedwithyou(KyraPerkins)andNuScalestaffonFebruary8,2021,andisbased ontheNRCstaffscursoryreviewforsufficiencyandcompleteness.TheNRCstaffexpectstoissuetworoundsof requestforadditionalinformation(RAI)beforeMay14andAugust13,2021.NRCstaffexpectstoprovidethesafety evaluationwithnoopenitemstoNuScaleforproprietarymaterialandfactcheckreviewbeforeNovember30, 2021.Pleasenote,theRAIreviewtimelinestartsupondraftRAIreceipt.Thistimelineestimatealsoassumesatleast fourmeetingsbetweentheNRCstaffandtheNuScalestafftodiscusstheLTRsreviewandpossibleauditactivities.
TheNRCstaffestimatesthatthereviewwillrequireapproximately1600staffhoursincludingprojectmanagement time.ThelevelofeffortcouldchangeoncetheNRCstaffdelvesintomattersoftechnicaland/orpolicymeritduringthe detailedsafetyreviewoftheLTR.Similarly,theschedulecouldchangeifadditionalroundsofRAIsareneeded.
