I am Diane Jackson, the Branch Chief for the first-ever cohort for the Nuclear Regulator Apprenticeship Network, or NRAN, program at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission. The NRC recently hired these 23 graduates, all with STEM degrees, to ensure that we can fulfill our safety and security mission not only today, but in the future. Theyre motivated knowing that our mission is vital to protect public health and safety and the environment. They started their careers at a very challenging time, but theyve already shown me theyre up for any challenge.

They are ready to serve and contribute, but dont just take it from me. Lets hear from them.

They have a message for all of us.

Im Emma Haywood, and Im ready to bring my whole self to work every day.

My name is Juan Arellano, and Im going to bring a new perspective to the agency.

My name is John Grasso, and Im determined to take action to make sure everyone at the NRC is treated equally as they should be.

Im Tyler Beck, and I dedicate myself to ensuring national safety and security for the next generation of commercial nuclear applications.

Im John Masse, and I promise to help the public feel comfortable that the NRC is dedicated to safety.

My name is Jacob Bordelon, and I promise to promote a mutual feeling of trust, respect and equality.

My name is Valerie Gray, and I will strive to make sure the voices of all my team members are heard.

I am Daniel Ju. During a process of change, I am all for collaborating ideas and sharing opinions in achieving the NRC mission.

Im Gianni Nelson, and Im committed to bringing changes to our regulatory oversight.

Im Hayden Page, and Im committed to using my tax-paid time justifiably and effectively.

Im Melissa McGuffie, and I vow to make this community, and this world a better place.

My name is Timothy Hooker, and I plan to speak up if I witness inequality.

Im Devonte Hinton, and I will become the next generation of nuclear regulators.

Im Alexus Willis, and I vow to work hard and put forth my full potential in all of the work that I do.

My name is Louis Caponi, and Im responsible for asking questions and proposing new ways of thinking.

Im Henry Marchlewski, and I commit to making the workplace more welcoming by embracing diversity.

Im Hayden Brundage, and Im determined to help the agency become the modern, risk informed regulator that it needs to be.
