OF DECEMBER 15, 2020, CLOSED MEETING WITH INDUSTRY STAKEHOLDERS REGARDING COMMENTS RECEIVED ON TEMPORARY INSTRUCTION 2201/006 MODIFIED CONTINGENCY RESPONSE FORCE-ON-FORCE TESTING INSPECTION ACTIVITIES On December 15, 2020, a Category 1 closed meeting1 was held between representatives of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), and external stakeholders, which included industry representatives and the Union of Concerned Scientists. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss external stakeholder input received regarding draft Temporary Instruction 2201/006, Modified Contingency Response Force-on-Force Testing of Facilities Under a Local, State, or Federal Emergency Condition that Impacts Normal Site Access2.

The meeting was closed to public participation due to the discussion of security-related information.

NRC staff discussed the disposition of external stakeholder comments received in the following topical areas: General comments associated with the overall inspection effort, exercise implementation comments, exercise assessment comments, force-on-force significance determination process comments, corrective action program comments, NRC-advisor role comments, controller and matrix comments, and intrusion detection system comments. The NRC staff supported this discussion with a presentation used to facilitate discussions at the meeting3.
