material
present.
The
facility
appeared
tobeadequately
posted
andall
material
appeared
tobeadequately
secured. The
inspector
observed
theRSOperform
survey
instrument
checks,
dosecalibrator
quality
control
checks,
andsealed
source leak
testing.
Theinspector
alsoobserved
thelicensee's
nuclear
medicine
technologist
perform
demonstrations
of
package
receipt,
dosepreparation,
radioactive
wastehandling,
andareasurveys.
Atthedirection
ofthe
inspector,
thetechnologist
performed
additional
surveys
inrestricted
andunrestricted
areas
ofthefacility.
Noevidence
of
residual
contamination
orexposures
tomembersofthepublic
inexcessofregulatory
limits
werenoted
fromany of
these
surveys.
Theinspector
alsointerviewed
theRSO,technologist,
andthelicensee's
office
manager
todiscuss
thestatus
oftheprogram
andavariety
ofradiation
safety
topics.
Through
these
discussions
andthe
aforementioned
observations,
thelicensee's
staff
demonstrated
proficiency
inALARApractices
andathorough
understanding
oflicensee
procedures,
regulatory
limits
andother
NRCrequirements.
Theinspector
alsoreviewed
aselection
ofrecords,
including
quarterly
consultant
audits,
documentation
ofvarious
surveys
andinstrument
quality
assurance
checks,
sealed
source
inventories
andleak
testresults,
dose
administration
records,
andpersonnel
dosimetry
reports.
Noviolations
ofNRCrequirements
wereidentified
asaresult
ofthis
inspection.
