Additional Information Regarding Niowave's Airport Facility (Mail Control No.621136)

Thankyouforreviewing ourlicense request.

Inresponse toyourrequest dated January 19,2021, weprovide the following additional information:

1.Niowave confirms that leak tests forsealed sources will be performed atintervals approved bytheNRCor anAgreement State andspecified intheSealed Source and Device Registration Certificate.

Leaktests will beperformed byanorganization authorized bytheNRCor an Agreement State toprovide leaktesting services toother licensees.

Leaktestsmaybecollected bythe licensee using aleak testkitsupplier's instructions.

Suchleak testkits will besupplied byanorganization authorized bytheNRCoranAgreement State toprovide leak testing services.

2.Niowave confirms that physical inventories will beconducted atintervals nottoexceed

6months, to account forall sealed sources anddevices received andpossessed under thislicense.

Records ofinventories will bemaintained for3years fromthedate ofeachinventory andwill includethe radionuclides, quantities, manufacturer's name,modelnumbers, andthedate ofinventory.

3.Niowave confinns that pursuant to10CFR70.25(g) and10CFR70.51(b)(3),

we will maintain records important todecommissioning andtransfer these records toanNRCorAgreement State licensee before licensed activities aretransferred orassigned, inaccordance with140CFR70.36.

Furthermore, pursuant to 10CFR70.51(a)(3),

wewill forward therecords required by10CFR70.25(g) tothe appropriate NRC regional office before thelicense isterminated.

4.Niowaveconfinns that we will usethedecay-in-storage disposal wasteprocedure thatispublished in Appendix P inNUREG-1556, Volume7,Revision 1,"Program-Specific Guidance

' Research andDevelopment, andOther Licenses withLimited Scope" forthedisposal ofradioactive waste containing only isotopes withhalf-lives that areless than120days.
