LOUISIANA ENERGY SERVICES - REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION REGARDING QUALITY LEVEL FOR REDUNDANT ITEMS RELIED ON FOR SAFETY (ENTERPRISE PROJECT IDENTIFICATION NUMBER L-2019-LLA-0208)

Dear Mr. Padgett:

We have reviewed your request, transmitted by letter dated September 8, 2020, to create a Quality Level, QL-2R, to be applied to redundant items relied on for safety administrative control equipment. The letter is available in the Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML20262H070). Our review of your application has identified that additional information is needed before final action can be taken.

The additional information, specified in the enclosure, should be provided within 30 days from the date of this letter.

Pending your response, we anticipate completing our review by April 21, 2021. This date could change depending on the findings of our technical review, urgent assignments, or other factors.

We will promptly communicate any significant changes to this schedule.

In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section 2.390 of the NRCs Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure, a copy of this letter will be available for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from ADAMS. ADAMS is accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html. The sensitive conditions in the license will be withheld from the public.

This document transmits an enclosure containing sensitive, unclassified information.

When separated from the enclosure, this document is decontrolled.
