Cable Aging Confirmatory Research
- Overview o Objective: Evaluate the effectiveness of commonly used cable condition monitoring methods o Motivation: Determine which condition monitoring methods are capable of tracking the aging of the cables o Cooperation: EPRI, DOE, AMS
- Status of Current Activities o Cable samples thermal and radiation aging was completed in November 2020 o Completion of condition monitoring testing for the final aging intervals is in progress o Completion of the report that discusses the assessment of the condition monitoring methods with respect to the cable samples concurrent thermal and radiation aging will be by September 2021 o Completion of the LOCA Testing and final report will be by December 2021
