Duke Energy, based on a 1 0CFR Part 21 notification from Lake Engineering, notified Enertech of th*e issue related to silicon fluid, Batch 17BLVS293: The potential defect identified in the Fluid to have opaque semi solid material. The fluid used in va,rious snubbers. In snubbers, the semi-solid material could potentially block the bleed orifice and cause the snubber to lock up.

CW Enertech procured (3) 200 kg (55-gallon drums) on December 18, 2017 Morrientive Batch 17BL VS293. This was $eparated into smaller 5-gallon container and supplied to the following sites:

We understand the potential hazard in regards to the snubber fluid, however Enertech no longer has any fluid remaining for this batch. We then informed our customers the fluid was reported to NRC and we are not able to test the fluid and cannot determine if the flµid will have any impact on the safety function of the snubber.
