Dynamics, LLC,that would require licensees toreport extravasations that exceed theNRC'sexisting medical event reporting criteria.

Since docketing thepetition inJune2020,the NRC staff hasbeenactively engaging the public andkeystakeholders onthematter.

OnSeptember 15,2020,thestaff published a

Federal Register notice requesting public commentson the

petition, including notification tothe Agreement States' about therequest forcommentonthe petition.

Thepublic commentperiod closed onNovember 30,2020,andthestaff continues toevaluate thecommentsreceived.

Additionally, theNRCstaff hosted apublic

meeting, via
Webex, on December 8,2020,to obtain insights fromstakeholders, including membersofthe public and themedical community, onradiopharmaceutical extravasations.

Thesepublic perspectives will inform thestaff's recommendation onwhether extravasations should bereported asmedical events.

Thestaff is committed toexamining fully anyissues raised inthepetition before providing a

recommendation totheCommission.
