ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF WITHDRAWAL
Dear Mr. Schehr:
By letter dated July 7, 2020 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML20189A588) you submitted an application to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) for approval of a new quality assurance program (QAP) under Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) Part 71. Staff performed an initial review of your request and held a teleconference on October 27, 2020, with you and your staff to discuss when an NRC-approved Part 71 QAP is required and the need for review and approval of a Part 71 QAP for your planned activities.
By letter dated October 27, 2020 (ADAMS Accession No. ML20311A133), you requested to withdraw the application from NRC review. The NRC acknowledges your request to withdraw the application and your understanding of the activities that require an NRC-approved Part 71 QAP. As a result, NRC staff activities on the review have ceased.
If you determine future activities require an NRC-approved QAP, please submit the request in writing in accordance with the requirements in 10 CFR 71.101.
