  • Description of the rule: This rule amends the NRCs spent fuel storage regulations to include additional multipurpose storage canisters and make other changes to the Holtec International HI-STORM 100 Cask System, which is on the list of NRC-approved cask designs.
  • Dates: The direct final rule will become effective 75 days after publication, unless a significant adverse comment is received.
