NRC Response to Your Recent Communications Concerning MP Mine Operations LLC Indirect Transfer of Control
Dear Mr. Amir Kouhestani:
I am sending you this email in response to your most recent communications dated September 28, 2020, and October 1, 2020, sent to the members of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), which were subsequently referred to the Office of International Programs.
By way of background, on September 24, 2020, the NRC responded to your August 30, 2020, electronic communication regarding MP Mine Operations (MPMO) LLCs August 17, 2020, request for the indirect transfer of control of export licenses XSOU8707 and XSOU8827.
On August 26, 2020, the NRC informed the U.S. Department of State of MPMOs request for the indirect transfer of control. On September 21, 2020, the Commission consented to and approved MPMOs request for indirect transfer of control of the export license and issued an Order to that effect. From the Commissions perspective, this matter was resolved in the Order.
As requested in your September 28, 2020, communications, your concerns about the staffs disclosure of your identity have been forwarded to the NRCs Office of the Inspector General.
