[External_Sender] License for Waste Control Specialists/Interim Storage Partners Hello, I am writing to express my opposition to the NRCs plan to store high level nuclear waste in Southeastern New Mexico/West Texas. I am concerned about the transportation of this highly hazardous waste through communities such as Lordsburg, Deming, Sunland Park, and El Paso and the associated risk of accidents. The draft EIS doesnt evaluate these risks. Im also concerned about the storage of this extremely hazardous waste along the Texas/New Mexico border. This storage is supposedly at an interim facility. It appears that such interim storage is illegal under Federal law unless a final storage repository is operating, which is not the case. How do you plan got address this apparent contradiction??
