Purpose and Outcome

Purpose:

facilitate better understanding on the new MOE approach for meeting Part 72 regulations pertaining to shielding and dose rate

• 8:40am NEI/Holtec discusses their example with NRC staff questions during presentation (60 minutes)

• 9:40am BREAK (10 minutes)

• 9:50am NEI/TN discusses their example with NRC staff asking questions during the presentation (60 minutes)

• 10:50am BREAK (10 minutes)

• 11:00am NRC/NEI discussion on potential issues with the proposals for regulatory compliance/ adoption (30 minutes)

• 11:30am NEI/TVA Presentation on Topical Reports and NRC staff questions (30 minutes)

• 12:00pm BREAK (10 minutes)

• 12:10pm NRC staff answer questions from the public (30 minutes)

• 12:40pm Meeting summary and closeout (15 minutes)

• Industry to submit Topical Report / Pilot Amendment, January 2021
