[External_Sender] Nuke dumps in New Mexico communities As a Sierra Club member receiving their newsletter I have read the article on page 3 regarding nuclear waste disposal plans targeted for New Mexico. My comment is that these kinds of proposals will never be safe or cost effective until the targeted communities are fully informed, given the time they need to consider the implications and consequences of such projects, and are in full agreement. Referring to the Holtec economic boom cited in the article, the mere mention of unsafe travel by rail of nuclear waste should get everyone to pause right there and go no further until that single issue is fully addressed and safe transport is ensured and endorsed by the public in those communities. We should not be asking these communities to submit to compromising their welfare for the glamour and short-sightedness of profiteering.
Sincerely, K. E. Joy Nabi Sent from my iPad
