SUMMARY
OF OCTOBER 21, 2020, PUBLIC MEETING WITH INDUSTRY TO DISCUSS PROPOSED REVISIONS REGULATORY GUIDE 1.200 AN APPROACH FOR DETERMINING THE TECHNICAL ADEQUACY OF PROBABILISTIC RISK ASSESSMENT RESULTS FOR RISK-INFORMED ACTIVITIES On October 21, 2020, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff held a public 1
teleconference with representatives from the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) and others. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss efforts supporting Draft Regulatory Guide (RG) DG 1362, Acceptability of Probabilistic Risk Assessment Results for Risk-Informed Activities2.
At the start of the meeting, NRC staff informed that the proposed revision to RG 1.200 had been made available for public comment as DG-1362 on June 26, 2020, and the NRC issued the Federal Register Notice (FRN)3 on July 3, 2020, that includes DG-1362 and the associated regulatory analysis with a 30-day comment period. DG-1362 has proposed endorsing PWROG-19027-NP, Newly Developed Methods and Peer Review,4 and NEI 17-07, Performance of PRA Peer Reviews Using the ASME/ANS [American Society for Mechanical Engineers /
American Nuclear Society] PRA Standard,5 with few clarifications and exceptions. During the meeting, NRC staff reviewed slides6 that discussed the comments received along with the NRC staff disposition of said comments.

M. Markey No significant comments were received on the proposed comment resolutions. It was acknowledged that there was an upcoming meeting with the Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards regarding this topic.
No regulatory decisions were made in the meeting.
Following the discussion, an opportunity was afforded to any other participants who wished to ask questions or make comments. No questions or comments were received from the public.
