Midland, TX, 79707 Email: chneeley@yahoo.com General Comment Why is the US Government pursuing interim "short term" storage sites for high level nuclear waster when the US Government has already spent 10's of billions of dollars and multiple decades for a permanent facility to address high level waste? No one in power now will be in charge when this 40 year license expires. I have no confidence that these storage sites will be "interim". In addition, this is a National problem that should not be punted to the private sector. Lastly, I live within 50 miles of the "interim storage" and do not support approval of this project for the reasons already stated.
