To discuss the technical merits of Licensing Topical Report (LTR) NEDC-33911P, BWRX-300 Containment Performance (ADAMS Accession number ML20091S367) and pre-application matters related to construction permitting of the GEH BWRX-300 power reactor design.
Summary of Meeting:
The meeting started with a brief introduction by NRC licensing project manager (PM) Rani Franovich, who explained the purpose of the meeting [specifically to discuss the scope and purpose of the LTR and to communicate the limited scope of pending NRC staff conclusions regarding acceptability of the approach described in the LTR vice approval, which cannot be determined absent a submittal for a licensing action], asked participants to introduce themselves and described how the meeting would be conducted (including discussion of proprietary information on a separate, closed bridge-line).
Because the discussions involved proprietary information, the public portion of the meeting adjourned and detailed discussions of the LTR were resumed on the closed bridge-line.
After these closed discussions, the meeting was adjourned.
