[External_Sender] Transportation of Nuclear Waste to New Mexico and Texas

Dear NRC,

Please do not allow nuclear waste to be transported to these western site. I do not consent. I believe this is illegal and immoral. I believe this breaks the Federal Law as there currently does not exist a permanent storage site. I wonder if this ill conceived temporary storage plan fly's in the face of current policy and established law.

If the NRC chooses to grant this application will the NRC decision makers be personally liable for any and all accidents that could occur? This material should be secured in concrete at the origin site and become part of the eventual decommission process. Unless near a waterway when the waste should be sealed and moved a few hundred miles inland.

Thank you, Richard Halpin Richard Halpin Green Sanctuary Ministry First Unitarian Universalist Church of Austin green@austinuu.org 512 658 2599
